Course Objectives

This course aims to equip executives and junior managers at corporate level, with the knowledge and techniques of purchasing, production planning and materials for effective management of their organisations.

 

Course Structure

This 12-month (297-hour) part-time course comprises 3 study modules and a project module. Students will undertake three subjects in module 1, two subjects in module 2 and three subjects in module 3. Upon successful completion of the study modules, they will complete a project in the final module.

Applicants must be members and should have at least one of the following qualifications :

 

1.         GCE ‘A’ Level or its equivalent;

2.         SIPMM Full Certificate with at least 3 years of working experience;

3.         5 GCE ‘O’ Levels (with credits in English and Mathematics) and with at least 3 years of working experience.

 

Upon successful completion in both the course and examinations, students will be awarded the Diploma in Purchasing & Materials Management with fifty-six (56) Competency Merit Points (CMPs), and shall be entitled to use the designatory title DPMM (SIPMM).
