·         Rationale for negotiation

·         Identifying one's strengths and weaknesses

·         Weighing opportunities and assessing threats

·         Setting negotiation objectives and targets - needs versus wants

·         Planning and executing negotiation strategies and tactics

·         Detecting and countering professional, aggressive and 'dirty' tactics

·         Using and analysing verbal and non-verbal communication

·         Dealing with difficult situations and handling difficult people

·         Case studies and role-plays
