Text Box: IN-HOUSE TRAINING/CONSULTANCY/CERTIFICATION PROGRAMMES…..

We also conduct in-house training for private and public organisations (local as well as overseas) and these special, customised in-house training programmes are designed and delivered at the organisation’s premises and at SIPMM training centre. SIPMM also conducts joint certification with individual organisations as well as joint training of the organisation’s manpower that have immensely benefited many organisations. By working closely with the clients in analysing their requirements, we design and develop solutions that address their specific problems. Such an approach ensures that what is learnt during the training can be more effectively transferred to the job and thereby improves job performance.

SIPMM has been very successful in facilitating and designing specialised training-cum-exchange programmes in purchasing, logistics, materials and supply chain management for local and overseas staff. In most of our training programmes, we will include educational field visits/plant tours to our local companies (and their plants) as one of the modular highlights in the training itinerary. Senior delegates from countries such as BHUTAN, INDIA, BANGLADESH, MONGOLIA, OMAN, just to name a few, who participated in our recent training-cum-exchange programmes were impressed with the successes and achievements of our local companies when they visited their plants in Singapore.

Text Box: International Sourcing Benchmarking Study

·         Can the widely propagated trend to global sourcing really be found in the procurement strategies of major businesses?

·         How do purchasing managers from different industrial sectors see their chances on the international market?

·         Is global sourcing really an efficient measure to stand up to the pressure of international competition?

·         Are the potentials of global procurement already exhausted, or have the expectations not even been achieved?

·         What differences concerning the answers to these questions exist between companies situated in European countries, Asian countries or the United States?

You can obtain the answers to these and other questions as a participant in a large international global sourcing study of the University of Wuerzburg supported by SIPMM.  Visit this website http://ibl.wifak.uni-wuerzburg.de/gs/ or click here to find out more.
