The Institute is networked globally with leading professional organisations in purchasing, logistics and supply chain management from US, Australia and Europe. Active interaction and joint initiatives on professional research and development are undertaken and country members interact professionally through international conferences, seminars and workshops. Exchange of valuable papers, discussions on differing practices on procurement and supply chain management are also undertaken on a regular basis.

Through strategic alliances with established modern universities such as Southern Cross University (SCU), the Institute has successfully launched the Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree courses in purchasing, logistics and supply chain management. Click here to visit SCU website.

SIPMM became the first Singapore organisation to be admitted to the world body, the International Federation of Purchasing & Supply Management (IFPSM) in 1975. Since then, the Institute works closely with the fellow national affiliates of IFPSM, and develops strategic relationship with leading institutes worldwide. In 1980, SIPMM initiated a closer co-operation of Asia-Pacific institutes within IFPSM and became the first institute to host the inaugural IFPSM Asia-Pacific regional conference. Subsequently in 1990, the Institute hosted the IFPSM sixth Asia-Pacific regional conference.  Click on the logo and you will get more information about IFPSM.

The Institute also works closely with leading industries, statutory boards and tertiary institutions and is actively involved on inter-research and industry-induction programmes, as well as industry site-visits.
